About the Conference

The 2nd Annual Pre-Medical & Pre-PA Conference hosted by Utah Valley University and the University of Utah is a student run and organized regional conference with the mission of providing pre-medical and pre-PA students from the Intermountain West with meaningful insights on how they can best prepare for life in medicine and how to become competitive applicants. Attendees will have opportunities to interact with representatives from medical schools and physician assistant programs as well has various community organizations.

Theme: Diversity in Medicine

When: Saturday, March 11, 2017  8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Where: Sorensen Student Center, Utah Valley University, Orem, UT

Cost: $20 for the entire event, including breakfast and lunch 


Service Project: Shriners Hospitals for Children – Salt Lake City

We will be collecting items for a service project for Shriners Hospital. Upon check-in, each conference participant will receive one entry for a door prize drawing at the conclusion of the conference. If participants bring donated items for Shriners Hospital, an additional entry will be for given for each item donated.


  • Dolls (Disney Princesses, Barbies) and Action figures
  • Kits for Play-Doh (actual Play-Doh not needed)
  • Coloring Books
  • Toys for infants/ toddlers
  • Video games for X-box 360 or Wii
  • New release DVD's
  • Pull-Ups (diapers not needed)

  • Used gifts: Due to strict infection control precautions, we can only accept new gifts.
  • Our hospital is latex free. Items such as rubber balloons, koosh balls, rubber stamps, rubber balls and rubber erasers are not accepted. Mylar balloons and vinyl items are encouraged.
