 Michael L. Draper, MD

Michael L. Draper, M.D.

Michael L. Draper, MD is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the subspecialty of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. He has been with the University of Utah Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division since 2002. He is currently the Residency Program Director for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Co-Director of the Maternal-Fetal Diagnostic Center. Dr. Draper's interests include pregnancies complicated by maternal disease (i.e. hypertension and diabetes), preterm labor, isoimmunization, and multiple gestations. He has done research on recurrent pregnancy loss, fetal physiology, the use of magnesium in pregnancy, and medical education.

Dr. Au, MD

Kawehi Au, M.D.

Kawehi Au is a mom to 5yo Kalani. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 2008. She completed a residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics in 2012 at Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA. She is currently a hospitalist at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She enjoys her job but especially enjoys her days off with her little girl, and they love to go on adventures, do preschool, and play with friends.


 Catherine Beck, MD

Katie (Catherine) Beck, M.D.

Catherine Beck, MD is a board-certified general surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive gastrointestinal, bariatric, hernia, anti-reflux and robotic surgery at Iasis Healthcare - Specialty Surgery of Utah. Dr. Beck's undergraduate degree is from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, graduating with honors. She earned her medical doctorate at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After medical school she completed a surgical residency in general and trauma surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Beck then completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive, and Bariatric surgery at the University of California - San Diego. During fellowship, she studied advanced techniques in laparoscopic and robotic esophageal, anti-reflux, hernia and bariatric surgery.  She is currently practicing 


 Tawnya Bowles, MD

Tawnya L. Bowles, M.D.

Tawnya L. Bowles, MD, FACS is an assistant professor in the Division of General Surgery, Section of Surgical Oncology, within the Department of Surgery at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a surgeon and investigator with Intermountain Healthcare and Huntsman Cancer Institute. Dr. Bowles specializes in surgery for melanoma, other skin cancers including Merkel cell carcinomas, soft tissue and abdominal sarcomas, and endocrine cancers. Her research interests include improving the quality of care for all melanoma patients and developing novel treatments for patients with advanced melanoma, including those whose melanoma has spread to the lymph nodes or to the skin (in-transit disease). Dr. Bowles is actively involved in clinical trials aimed at developing new treatments for melanoma.



Margaret Carlson, B.S.

Margaret Carlson is a ‎Clinical Research Coordinator and Research Associate Program Director at the ‎University of Utah Department of Emergency Medicine.  She is a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Sociology with a minor in Pediatric Research. She has a passion for Research and Medicine, and enjoys helping out others. Striving for a career in the Field of Medicine, she hopes to help others both in the US and abroad.


John Dougherty, DO

John J. Dougherty, D.O.

Dr. Dougherty received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Health Science – College of Osteopathic Medicine, NKA Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine, in 1992. He graduated from Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri in 1988 with a B.S. in Biology and Education. He completed a one-year rotating internship and first year of Family Medicine residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center of Texas, UNT/HSC-TCOM in Fort Worth, completing residency and serving as founding chief resident in the new Family Medicine residency at Oak Hill Hospital in Joplin, Missouri where he practiced and had a home for 14 years. Dr. Dougherty is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. Dr. Dougherty joined Touro University Nevada on February 1, 2016 as Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine.


Glen Fogerty, Ph.D.

Glen Fogerty, Ph.D.

Dr. Glen Fogerty is the Associate Dean of Admissions and Recruitment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix. He had a 15-year career in hospitality at the Deer Valley Resort, Best Western International and the Ritz Carlton Hotel Company. In 1999 he switched from hospitality to academia and has lived and studied abroad while opening and shaping campuses all over the world. He has also held roles in MBA admissions, development, and executive education within the W.P. Carey School of Business and a position at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. He also held dean positions at Arizona Summit Law School and Northwestern University. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Hospitality Administration, an MBA and a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies with a concentration in Higher Education Administration.


William Francis, DO

William Francis, D.O.

Dr. William Francis was raised in Provo, Utah and graduated from Utah Valley University where he earned a bachelor's degree in Biology. He then went on to receive his medical training at Rocky Vista College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. Dr. Francis received his specialty training in Family Medicine at University Hospital's St. John Medical Center in Greater Cleveland, Ohio; where he trained with, and was mentored by world class physicians in all aspects of medicine. He was appointed to be Chief Resident by his colleagues and peers, and awarded for his outstanding contributions in furthering medical education. Dr. Francis specializes in Family Medicine and is trained and committed to serving patients of all ages. His primary focus is on prevention of disease as well as in the treatment of both acute and chronic disease.  Dr. Francis currently practices at Premier Family Medical in Mountain Point, UT.


Phil Hatch

Phil Hatch, J.D. 

Olympus Test Prep Instructor, Phil Hatch, received a perfect score on the GRE, a perfect score on the LSAT, and scored in the 99th percentile on the GMAT. He's helped hundreds of students prepare for tests over the past 14 years. He teaches both the strategy behind the tests along with the math and verbal skills needed to succeed. He is highly sought after by graduate school hopefuls and is recommended by graduate school directors and advisers. He finds his job extremely gratifying in helping students achieve their graduate school dreams. Phil has a law degree from the University of Utah.


Andrea O'Brien

Andrea O'Brien, M.S. 

Andrea O'Brien is the Director of Admissions-Residential at A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, MO. The majority of Andrea's career has been focused in Student Affairs, Higher Education, Graduate Admissions for the Health Professions, and Residence Life. She obtained a Master's degree in Management with an emphasis in Organizational Development. She enjoys working with college students and young professionals. She enjoys working with people and witnessing and being a part of their professional and personal growth through work experience.


Joshua Owens, PA

Joshua Owens, P.A.

Joshua Owens received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Utah State University in 2005, with minors in music and chemistry. He went on to receive his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Missouri State University in 2007. He has practiced primary care for the underserved in the community health center setting and for the Utah Department of Health.  He has a strong interest in the management of chronic pain in the primary care setting. During the five years spent with the Health Clinics of Utah, in addition to his primary care duties, he cared for the majority of patients with chronic pain comorbid conditions. He is an Assistant Professor at Touro University Nevada.


Bryan Platt, PA

Brian C. Platt, P.A.

Brian Platt, PA joined the Desert Foothills Emergency Room team in Carefree Arizona evaluating all presenting patients as a sole provider in the Emergency Room setting. He also managed a 12 member ER Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Group. At the same time, he worked with Mountain View Multispecialty Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona treating patients in the family practice setting. Brian is married to Janet and they have 2 children. Brian loves to fish and enjoys practicing at Cottontree Family Practice because "they are his second family".
